One of the more interesting aspects of baby boomers lives is that in fact very few of them lose interest in sex as they get older. Studies in psychological articles show that far from reducing in interest, some baby boomers interests escalate in their retirement years and they are happily making sexual innovations and seeking ways to spice up their sex lives rather than giving in to the lethargy of advancing years.
Typical of baby boomers, there is evidence that shows they are more likely to explore sexual alternatives should they experience ‘difficulties in the bedroom’ than most generations. Lucky for lady boomers, a man suffering difficulties will be more likely to find resourceful ways to satisfy his partner if he is a baby boomer than if he is not!
It is true that the boomer generation has a wide range of interest and pastimes that they look forward to indulging late in life. When you are busy holding down a challenging career and raising a family, there is hardly enough time in the day to fit in all the things you would like to do.
As we get older, time can be both a blessing and a problem. We have more time to pursue our interest and hobbies but unfortunately for some of us, not as much time as we would like to have left to enjoy our new expertise! Baby boomers tend to make the best of things, however, and certainly new things are embraced with enthusiasm.
That being said, few boomers would agree that their hobbies and interests replace their sex lives. Elderly boomers are among some of the most sexually active groups and when problems arise, boomers are more likely to seek professional help to eradicate the difficulty than some other generic groups.
The boomer generation has made some of the most dramatic changes the World has seen and continues to astound with its determination to make the most of everything the World has to offer, including sexuality! Their uninhibited approach to sex drove the sexual revolution of the sixties and they are not about to give up the driving seat just yet.
Psychological articles show us that other generations, including the generation that came after the baby boom, settle more readily into a hum drum existence and will likely show the World a sedate old age – boomers, however, continue to be more rock concert than rocking chair.
